This is one out of a set of pages I've been working on that will serve as part of the story introduction once I get the web site up. The blank space in the first panel is a little weird, I know, but it's reserved for the last bit of narrative that will appear, segueing into the 'proper' comic.

I got tired of struggling with my own handwriting for the lettering, but I felt like using some other font was cheating somehow, so I created a font from my handwriting (a neat-i-fied version of my handwriting). That was tedious, let me tell you...but I think it works pretty well.

The boat is a sternwheel diesel tow (common on the Mississippi at the time as diesel was replacing steam driven riverboats). I figured it might be hard to make out what it is because only the bow is visible.

Rocky's a blast to draw. He's all eyebrows and teeth.
