This is actually two long pages. I figured them for a reasonable amount of work to take on all at once, but the background drawing turned out to be extremely time consuming - all that art deco in the speakeasy. Agck. Cumulatively, they took longer than any of the pages I've tackled before...though that's probably evident by the lapse of time between updates. Apologies (um, as per usual).

As a side note, McClure's (which appears in the dialogue in the latest update) was a once prominent political and literary publication that saw the conception of muckraking journalism. A writing staff mutiny eventually led to its transformation into a women's magazine in the 1920's.
I throw a lot of references to history and popular culture into the comic, but it may be that I'm really only entertaining myself by doing this (not that I have any real qualms with that ). I plan to add a list of some of the more obscure references to the Lackadaisy web site in the near future...for the sake of pedantic fun.
